    Kelly McWilliams is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at John Jay College of Criminal Justice and serves as Lab Director for the Children and the Law Lab at the City University of New York (CUNY). She is also a faculty member in the PhD program at the Graduate Center for the Psychology and Law training area.  Dr. McWilliams research has helped identify current legal and forensic practices that are misaligned with children's cognitive and social development as well as developing empirically-based interviewing techniques that maximize productivity and overcome reluctance, while minimizing risk of false report.
